ARTIST SUPPORT SERVICES

I’ve worked as an educator, non-profit administrator, grant writer, professional artist, and creative entrepreneur for over twenty years. I am especially adept at supporting people working with cross disciplinary projects and those working as artists in higher education settings. I can help you clarify the vision for your exhibition or dissertation, develop a grant and fundraising strategy, fine tune your syllabus, revamp your artist statement, or any of the other complex tasks that we need to accomplish as artists.

I offer a range of creative services customized for individuals, groups, and organizations. My goal is to help you embrace the visionary genius that you already have by thoughtfully, playfully and intuitively witnessing your inherent creative strengths. The offerings listed below are a jumping off point, and my rates are variable based on the scope of the project and type of deliverables.

TESTIMONIALS

"Naima has been a coach, cheerleader and creative doula of my artistic practice for over a decade now. Her own multidisciplinary artistic practice, combined with her variety of professional experiences from entrepreneurial e-commerce to academic classrooms, allows her a versatility to support artists in a variety of mediums. She also is able to offer different pathways, from navigating traditional museum, gallery and film festival worlds to dreaming up and enacting entirely new and radical ones. Her coaching is always rooted in her values of care over competition, whether it be care for self, community or both. She is able to bring out one's situational best-- balancing an understanding of whatever life is serving you in that moment with hanging on to an artist practice and remaining accountable to your goals. There are so many times I could have given up but she was able to reframe my thinking to reimagine what my art practice could be."
- Sara Zia, Philadelphia, PA

”In our conversations, Naima has consistently and creatively challenged my thinking while celebrating my bigger vision. Whenever we talk, I leave the convo with new perspectives -- ones that comes from her depth of experience and training as an artist, activist, and educator. She's lived a life of curiosity and courage as an artist, and it shows. I recommend her to anyone wanting to re-invigorate their creative practice, bust through stuck points, or re-evaluate their path.”
- Amy, Providence, RI

”Naima Lowe is an approachable intellectual, eager to give and to learn.  In every collaboration I’ve witnessed, Naima gives her all. Her dramaturgical insights have helped me believe in and develop my current play in progress and my forthcoming novel.  Her extraordinary intuition allows her to see the potential in others accurately, helping them rise to their highest capacity.. She has a deep capacity to draw connections and support from those around her, marshaling resources for creation and collaboration with fluency and generosity. Honestly, it’s difficult to overstate the wealth of Naima’s gifts, resources, and kindness as a mentor, as an artist and as a collaborator.”
